2027 Brides, This Is Your Vibe Check

Three months until your wedding year. Let’s talk plans, priorities and the bridal state of mind.

BRÖLLOPSGUIDEN

2027 brides, we’re looking at you. Three months from now, you’ll officially be entering your wedding year. And suddenly, that date you’ve been talking about for months (or years) is going to feel a whole lot closer.

So, where are we at? Dress secured or still deep in bridal research? Venue locked in? Guest list under control, or still a topic of debate over Sunday dinner? Maybe you’ve already planned every detail down to the after-party playlist. Maybe you’re still figuring out what kind of wedding you actually want. Either way, this is your vibe check.

The planning reality check. With 2027 approaching, it’s a good time to revisit the bigger picture.

The venue, the photographer, the fashion, the overall feeling. What’s booked? What’s still on the moodboard? And what have you completely changed your mind about since getting engaged? Because your taste evolves. That dress you loved six months ago might not be the one anymore. The extravagant floral arrangements you saved last spring? Maybe you’re suddenly into something much more minimal. And that’s part of the process.

Less pressure, better decisions. Not everything needs to be decided right now. Especially if your wedding isn’t until late 2027.

The important thing is knowing which decisions actually matter at this stage and which can wait. The best vendors get booked early, but the exact shade of your dinner napkins? Probably not tonight’s priority. And while we’re talking priorities, don’t forget the reason behind all of this. Make room for dinners that don’t turn into planning meetings and weekends that don’t revolve around wedding logistics. It’s okay to just enjoy being engaged for a while, even after you set the date.

The 2027 mood – if there’s one thing we’re taking into the new wedding year, it’s the idea of making things personal.

Less doing things because you’re supposed to. More choosing what actually feels right for you. Whether that’s a three-day celebration in the countryside, a city wedding with 30 guests or an intimate ceremony followed by a very good party.

Forget what a wedding is supposed to look like. The best celebrations are the ones that reflect the people getting married. Maybe that means skipping a few traditions, investing in an incredible photographer instead of extravagant flowers, or swapping a formal dinner for cocktails and dancing until 3 AM. And while we’re all for a beautiful wedding, let’s not forget that the atmosphere, the people and the moments you didn’t plan are often what you’ll remember most.

Five Things Every 2027 Bride Should Keep in Mind

  1. Book the people, not just the places. The venue might be secured, but what about the people who will bring your wedding to life? Photographers, planners, makeup artists and other in-demand creatives often book up well in advance. If there’s someone whose work you absolutely love, now is the time to get in touch. The best collaborations start with finding people who understand your vision.
  2. Stop saving everything and start editing. We love a good Pinterest board, but at some point, inspiration needs direction. If you’ve saved 200 dresses, five completely different tablescapes and enough floral arrangements to fill a botanical garden, it’s time to narrow things down. Look for the common thread in what you love. Your wedding doesn’t need every trend you’ve ever saved.
  3. Be realistic about the budget. Not the most glamorous part of wedding planning, but definitely one of the most important. Take another look at your numbers, especially if you’ve started receiving quotes from suppliers. Decide where you want to invest and where you’re happy to simplify. A great wedding isn’t about spending on everything. It’s about spending on the right things.
  4. Make decisions for yourselves, not just your guests. Everyone will have an opinion. Your mother, your best friend, the colleague who got married last summer. Listen, take inspiration, but remember whose wedding this actually is. You don’t need a traditional cake, a formal first dance or a particular dress simply because it’s expected. Keep the things you love and skip the rest.
  5. Don’t turn your engagement into a project. Yes, there are decisions to make, emails to answer and appointments to book. But being engaged should be fun, too. Have dinners where the seating chart is off-limits. Take a weekend away without discussing the budget. Celebrate the little milestones. You’ll never get this particular chapter back, so make sure you’re actually living it.

And One More Thing..

We’ve been working on something behind the scenes and let’s just say we’ve been thinking a lot about how wedding planning could be easier. Because we know that somewhere between the guest lists, budgets, endless to-do lists and supplier conversations, things can get a little overwhelming. And while we love the creative side of planning a wedding, we also know that keeping everything organized isn’t always quite as exciting.

So, if you’re currently juggling spreadsheets, notes on your phone and approximately 47 open browser tabs, hang in there. We’re creating something designed to make your wedding planning journey a whole lot smoother, more organized and, most importantly, more enjoyable. We can’t reveal everything just yet, but 2027 brides, this one’s for you.
